３ 厚生労働大臣は、前二項の規定により基準を定めようとするときは、あらかじめ、薬事･食品衛生審議会の意見を聴くとともに、消費者庁長官及び当該家庭用品についての主務大臣に協議しなければならない。

第七条 厚生労働大臣は、一般に飲食に供されることがなかつた物であつて人の健康を損なうおそれがない旨の確証がないもの又はこれを含む物が新たに食品として販売され、又は販売されることとなつた場合において、食品衛生上の危害の発生を防止するため必要があると認めるときは、薬事・食品衛生審議会の意見を聴いて、それらの物を食品として販売することを禁止することができる。
Article 7 (1) When articles which have not generally been served for human consumption and have not been proved to involve no risk to human health or articles including those articles have newly come to be sold or are going to be sold as food, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare may prohibit the sales of such articles as food, by hearing the opinions of the Pharmaceutical Affairs and Food Sanitation Council, when he/she finds it necessary to prevent food sanitation hazards. - 日本法令外国語訳データベースシステム
