Çağdaş Çetinkaya (born August 6, 1985 in İzmir) is a Turkish author, poet and novelist. He is a student in the Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Faculty. His poems and articles were published on magazines like Hayal, altZine, Varlık, Kaos GL, Yasakmeyve-Kırkaltı Karakalem, Bireylikler, Kan-Dil, Öykü Teknesi, Kül Öykü, Borges Defteri, Sınırda, BH Sanat, Muaf, Yazı Kültürü, Kara Mecmua, Bant, Cnbc-e Business, Society, Times, Mevsimsiz, Siyahkahve, Mavi Ada, Sokak Yazarları, Mavi Melek, Berfin Bahar, Kül, Deliler Teknesi, Çalakalem Mor Söz, Patika, Yüxexes Karakalem, Denizsuyukasesi and Kadıköy Underground Poetix. His poems were exposed at Manchester Art Galery in 2009, under the exhibition with the theme 'Angels Of Anarchy And Surrealism'. He calls himself a moralist, although one of his generation's most controversial authors because of his graphic prose style. Influenced by French philosopher, sociologist like Edgar Morin and American primitivist philosopher John Zerzan. Çetinkaya updates those novelists themes of youthful alumni, materialism, status obsession, mafia and social transgression; he also employs their technique of linking novels with common, recurring characters. His dystopic locales typically make use of large, dense cities such as İzmir and İstanbul.
