The Southington Fire Department (SFD) is a combination career and part-time fire department which serves the Town of Southington, Connecticut. The department is divided into five companies housed in four fire stations. Fire Headquarters, at 310 North Main Street, houses Headquarters Company (full time, career) and Engine Company 1 (part-time, paid-on-call). There are three additional part-time, paid-on-call stations: Company 2 in the village of Plantsville, Company 3 in Milldale and one in the Patton Brook area, Company 5. Company 4, in Marion was merged with Company 3 in 1992.
