(3) The rules may make provision to regulate the professional conduct of registered patent agents and their practice and, for that purpose, may make provision for and in relation to all or any of the following: (a) making complaints against registered patent agents and hearing and deciding upon such complaints; (b) imposing penalties on registered patent agents, including issuing a reprimand, and suspending or cancelling registration; (c) summoning witnesses; (d) receiving evidence from persons on oath or affirmation; (e) administering oaths or affirmations to persons giving evidence; (f) requiring persons to produce documents or articles; (g) restoring any registration that has been cancelled and lifting the suspension imposed on any registration. - 特許庁

Any party seeking to recover upon a petition, a claim, counterclaim or cross-claim or against whom a petition, claim, cross-claim or counterclaim is asserted may, at any time after the issues are joined, move with supporting affidavit, depositions or admissions of parties, for a summary judgment in his favor as to all or any part thereof. The motion shall be served at least ten days before the time specified for the hearing. The adverse party may file with the Bureau and serve opposing affidavits at least three days prior to the day of hearing. The Petitioner in a cancellation proceeding and in a compulsory licensing proceeding and the Opposer in an opposition proceeding shall be deemed to be in the position of a plaintiff while the Respondent in a cancellation, compulsory licensing or opposition proceeding shall be in the position of defendant, with respect thereto. A person guilty of misbehavior in the presence of or so near the Director or Hearing Officer as to obstruct or interrupt the proceedings before him, including disrespect toward the Director or Hearing Officer, offensive personalities toward others, or refusal to be sworn to or answer as a witness, or to subscribe to an affidavit or deposition when lawfully required to do so, may be summarily adjudged in contempt by the Director or Hearing Officer and punished by fine not exceeding Two Thousand Pesos (P 2,000.00) or imprisonment not exceeding ten days, or both. - 特許庁

On the hearing of an appeal under this Act, the Court may - (a) admit further evidence, either orally or on affidavit or otherwise; and (b) permit the examination and cross-examination of witnesses, including witnesses who gave evidence orally or on affidavit or otherwise to the Registrar; and (c) order an issue of fact to be tried in such manner as it directs; and (d) affirm, reverse or modify the decision, determination or direction appealed from; and (e) give such judgement, or make such order, as in all the circumstances it thinks fit, or refuse to make an order; and (f) order a party to pay costs to another party. - 特許庁
