- The method for quantifying anaerobic bacteria comprises preparing a plurality of test samples that are diluted with sterile diluents in stages, respectively, adding the diluted solutions to liquid mediums containing Escherichia coli, culturing the Escherichia coli in a closed state and assaying the cultures produced by the culture by an MPN (most probable number) method.
