- The method of depilation or epilation comprises bringing the external preparation for the skin into contact with the skin by coating or sticking the preparation on or to the skin site to be depilated or epilated of a mammal including a human being, optionally applying iontophoresis therapy after the contact to topically benumb the skin site by introducing the topical pain-relieving component in the external preparation for the skin, and carrying out the depilation or epilation.
