- The hydrogen generating medium is obtained by immersing iron or iron oxide particles in an aqueous solution of a salt of a cationic element which is more cationic than oxygen forming the solid acid, evaporating and exsiccating the aqueous solution in which the iron or iron oxide particles are immersed, and firing the dried substance in the presence of oxygen.
