独立側帯波（ISB）AM音声多重方式における伝送装置であって、送信機及び受信機を具備し、前記送信機が左及び右多重音声情報をそれぞれ表す一対のオーディオ周波数信号L及びR信号に応答し、L及びR信号の和及び差信号を発生する手段(10、12、14、16)、第１の選択された変調関数に従って前記の和信号によって逆変調された前記の差信号を表すように位相変調されている搬送波信号を発生する手段(23)、及び前記の位相変調された搬送波信号を前記の和信号によって振幅変調して、ISB AM音声多重信号を形成する手段(22)を備え、前記の受信機が受信した中間周波（IF）ISB AM音声多重信号に応答し、第２の選択された変調関数に従って前記の和信号成分によって前記の信号の差信号成分を逆変調し、元のL及びR入力信号のそれぞれを表している一対のオーディオ周波数出力信号を誘導する手段(62、63、65、67～70)を備え、前記の送信機における変調関数及び受信機における変調関数を適切に選択して伝送されるL及びR信号の直線性及び独立性を与え、それによってひずみ特に相互変調ひずみを低くするようにしてあることを特徴とする伝送装置。 - 特許庁
