Therefore, from the perspective of the overall purpose of this law, which is to strengthen the financial intermediary function, the possibility of a business integration being combined with the injection of public funds is not ruled out. Furthermore, if such a combination is expected to bring about benefits as a voluntary measure, it should be strongly welcomed.
その自主的なさまざまな取組みの中の一つとして経営統合・経営再編ということも入ってくるわけでございまして、そういう意味では経営統合による経営基盤・業務基盤の強化ということが併せて行われるというようなケースは、それが上手くいけば更に金融仲介機能の強化にも繋がり得るということかと思いますので、そういう意味ではその金融仲介機能の強化という法律全体の目的ということで大きく捉えたときに、経営再編と組み合わされるということはもちろん排除はされていませんし、かつ、それが自主的な取組みとしてよい成果をもたらすという形になる場合には、大いに歓迎されるべきものであろうかと思います。 - 金融庁
