derasarとは 意味・読み方・使い方

A derasar is a temple for followers of Jainism, except for non-murtipujak Svetambaras. Derasar is a word used in Gujarat, Kutch and parts of Rajasthan, in other parts of India, the term Jain Mandir is used for all the Jain temples. Jain idols of Tirthankaras are worshipped there. Usually they are built from marble stone. Jain temples are found in many states of India. Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Utter Pradesh and Bihar being prominent. Some famous Jain temples are located in Palitana, Shankheshwar, Shikharji, Vataman, Mumbai, Mahudi Shri Ghantakarna Vir Temple and Ahmedabad (Amdavad).
