Covenant Health System is a 1,500 bed not-for-profit hospital and health care center, employing close to 10,000 staff, in Lubbock, Texas. It was formed in 1998 through the merger of St. Marys of the Plains Hospital and Methodist Hospital System. It is the largest health system in the West Texas and Eastern New Mexico area, serving a 62 county region and a population of 1.2 million. It consists of a network of 14 leased and managed community hospitals and 20 healthcare centers. The cornerstone facilities are: Covenant Medical Center, Covenant Women's & Children's Medical Center, Covenant Speciality Hospital, Covenant Hospital Plainview, and Covenant Hospital Levelland.
