Ed Bus is the long-serving alderman (a neighborhood representative) in the city of Chicago, Illinois, United States, and candidate for Mayor of Chicago. He is actually a satire character, joked about as running for mayor. In the current political environment, Bus represents the constituents of the 53rd Ward, where he has served for over 40 years. The Ward has been drastically redrawn over the years, currently limited to the island in the middle of the intersection of Damen, Elston and Fullerton. Bus is also an active businessman in the community, with a stated annual income of $6,500,000.00 , exactly the same as fellow Mayoral candidate Rahm Emanuel.
