Georg Karl Julius Hackenschmidt (20 July 1878 - 19 February 1968) was an early 20th-century Estonian strongman and professional wrestler. He was born in Estonia and lived most of his life in London, England where he was known as George Hackenschmidt and gained the nickname of "The Russian Lion" (Estonia was part of the Russian Empire for much of his life).
