A jet aerator is an aspirating device, which is used to aerate liquid such as water, sewage, sludge, manure, leachate, etc. The jet aerator works by the principle of venturi effect and the liquid is typically supplied by a centrifugal chopper pump. The main advantage of using a chopper pump is that it prevents clogging of the pump and the venturi/nozzle, as all the solids and stringy materials are macerated by the chopping system.
