Namsos (help·info) is a town and municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Namdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Namsos. The town of Namsos was separated from Overhalla as a municipality of its own in 1855. The municipalities of Klinga, Otterøy, and Vemundvik were merged with Namsos on 1 January 1964.
