Susan “Leigh” Star (1954 - 2010) was an American sociologist. She specialized in the library and of information in modern society; information worlds and naturalistic studies of information infrastructure; classification and standardization; sociology of science; history of science, history of medicine, history of technology, and information systems; and sociology of work. She commonly used the qualitative methods methodology and feminist theory approach.
