     A study using a 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging experiment found that the CH 2 Cl 2 fraction of F. suspensa exerted the strongest scavenging activity and suggested that forsythialan A and phillygenin F are the major antioxidant constituents [ 51, 52 ].
