General-purpose Declarative Language (GDL) is a programming language from Genworks International, a superset of the Common Lisp language, and used for modeling of complex objects and systems, especially in the engineering and geometry domain. GDL contains the core KBE features of declarative syntax, dynamic typing, incremental compilation, runtime value caching, and dependency-tracking. The language is described in some detail in the "Languages for KBE" section of the Knowledge Based Engineering article.
