引用: M Street Bridge carries M Street across Rock Creek and Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway between Georgetown and Foggy Bottom in Northwest Washington, D.C. The present location of M Street Bridge is the site of the oldest bridge to be constructed in the District of Columbia in 1788. The current bridge was completed in 1930 and remains the only non-arched bridge design spanning Rock Creek Park. It was erected without the approval of the Commission of the Fine Arts, which established architectural aesthetics for park bridge design in the District.
