Mack Rhoades IV is the current athletic director at the University of Houston. On June 11, 2009 it was announced he would be leaving the University of Akron to take over the Athletics Director position at the University of Houston. Rhoades had been hired at Akron in December 2005 after former Zips athletic director Michael J. Thomas took the same position at the University of Cincinnati.
