Aroor is a census town in Alappuzha district(Near to cochin city) in the state of Kerala, India. It is a Sea food related industrial area south of Kochi. Though considered a part of Kochi for all practical purposes, Aroor technically belongs to the Alappuzha district.Aroor is a two way entrance to the Cochin city.Byepass junction,Aroor divides NH-47 into byepass leading to Viytila and edapally.The highway goes straight to Palluruthy and Thopumpady.
