Capture of HMS Cyaneとは 意味・読み方・使い方

The capture of HMS Cyane was a naval action which took place as part of the War of 1812. The British warships HMS Cyane and HMS Levant fought the USS Constitution on 20 February 1815 in the mid-Atlantic. Both Cyane and Levant were captured; in an ensuing action Levant was recaptured. The war had actually finished a few days earlier by the ratification of the Treaty of Ghent by both sides, but the combatants were not aware of this.
