Segundo Llorente Villa, S.J. (18 November 1906, Mansilla Mayor, León, Spain – 26 January 1989, Spokane, Washington, USA) was a Spanish Jesuit, philosopher, and author who spent 40 years as a missionary among the Yupik people in the most remote parts of Alaska. He won a seat to the 2nd Alaska State Legislature as a write-in candidate, becoming the state’s first Catholic priest elected to office. He wrote hundreds of essays and one dozen autobiographical books in Spanish and English about his life in Alaska.| 意味 |
