TPG Telecom (ASX: TPM) is the fourth largest Australian ISP and IT company. The company was formed from the merger between Total Peripherals Group and SP Telemedia. Over the past 18 years, TPG has grown to more than 500,000 ADSL2+ subscribers, 192,000 mobile subscribers, 36,000 Internet telephony subscribers and 23,000 PSTN telephony subscribers, on top of building the second largest ADSL2+ network, consisting of 391 ADSL2+ DSLAMs. TPG also sells mobile phone services as a mobile virtual network operator on the Optus mobile network.
