Afrancesado (Spanish pronunciation: [afɾanθeˈsaðo]; "Francophiles" or "turned-French", "Frenchified") was the term used to denote Spanish and Portuguese partisans of Enlightenment ideas, Liberalism, or the French Revolution, who were supporters of the French occupation of Iberia and of the First French Empire.
