「while at it」は、ある行動を行っている最中に、追加で別の行動をすることを示す表現である。特に、すでに行っていることに関連して、便宜上追加で何かを行う際に使用される。

「incidentally」は、「speaking of」や「on that note」といった表現と組み合わせて使われることがある。「speaking of」は「それに関連して」という意味で、「on that note」は「そのことについて言えば」という意味を持つ。
Incidentally, I heard that our mutual friend is getting married next month. (ちなみに、私たちの共通の友人が来月結婚するそうだ。)

「by the way」は、会話の流れの中で新しい話題を導入する際に用いられる表現であり、「ちなみに」という意味合いが強い。話の本筋からは少し離れた追加情報を提供する際に便利なフレーズである。
「by the way」は、会話を転換させる際に「just a quick question」や「just out of curiosity」といった表現と共に使われることがある。これらは「ちょっとした質問」と「好奇心から」という意味をそれぞれ持つ。
