Calliope Iphigenia "Callie" Torres, M.D. ,is a fictional character from the ABC television series Grey's Anatomy, portrayed by actress Sara Ramírez. The character is the former Chief Resident and an attending orthopedic surgeon at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, and the daughter of a wealthy family in South Florida.
