Daniel Altman is an American-born economist and writer. He is Director of Thought Leadership at Dalberg Global Development Advisors. He is also the founder and president of North Yard Economics, a not-for-profit consulting firm that provides high-quality economic analysis to governments and non-governmental organizations in developing countries. He writes commentary on economics (and occasionally on soccer) in English and Spanish. Altman also teaches economics as an adjunct at the New York University Stern School of Business.
