The Delta County Courthouse is an historic three-story courthouse building located at 200 West Dallas Avenue in Cooper, Delta County, Texas. Built in 1940-1941 on the site of two former livery stables, it is Delta County's third courthouse. The second courthouse built in 1900 of red brick was located a block east on the Old Courthouse Square. A red brick gazebo marks that location. The present courthouse was designed by noted Dallas architect Hoke Smith (Jun. 12, 1896 - Feb. 5, 1943) in the Art Deco style of architecture. In 1977, its exterior walls were resurfaced with yellow brick after chunks of wall fell off the building. The 1941 Masonic cornerstone was removed and placed on the new exterior.
