He is the current senior pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. McKissic is a controversial leader of the Bapticostal movement, marked by a rejection of the a cessationist and support of the charismatic gifts espoused. He has also made several controversial statements, specifically about homosexuality and divine wrath.
