Hans Dauser was a Untersturmführer (Second Lieutenant) in the 1st SS Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. He was born in Munich on the 31 July 1908, the son of Staatssekretär Hans Dauser senior (later SS-Brigadeführer (Major General) and Staatsratthe State Council of the German Democratic Republic (German: Staatsrat der DDR) was officially the highest organ of the German Democratic Republic, and for many years the collective president of the country (per Article 66 of the Constitution of East Germany). Dauser was a member of the Freikorps between 1922 and 1924 and later in 1934 was a Reichsheer(Imperial German Army) veteran. After graduating from the State High School he studied to be an architect. He joined the NSDAP in 1930 and the Allgemeine SS in 1933.
