Rockbuster was the second double sampler album from CBS Records released in the UK in 1970. Its tracks are loosely grouped according to style: Side One reflects the jazz-rock idiom, Side Two more folk and singer/songwriter oriented; Side Three is noticeably darker and experimental in tone, while Side Four has its roots in the Blues. The compilation is credited to David Howells, then a marketing and A&R executive at CBS; he later became Managing Director of Pete Waterman's PWL label.
