From the Greenlandic Saqqaq, a settlement in the Avannaata municipality of western Greenland, near which archaeological excavations discovered remains of the eponymous Saqqaq culture.

- The Paleo-Eskimo people who inhabited west-central Greenland circa 2500–800BC and who formed the Saqqaq culture.
