1. (biblical) A city mentioned in 2 Kings 19:12 and Isaiah 37:12 as the destroyed city of the "children of Eden".

     Gozan, Harran, Rezeph, and Telessar were in Mesopotamia. Some other places are not known.

     Sennacherib mentions it in 2 Kings 19:12 and Isaiah 37:12 when referring to the 'children of Eden, which were in Telessar'; and the possessions of Pharaoh are referred to in Ezekiel 31:9 as extending to Eden.
