Vayala is a village located in the Kottayam district in Kerala, India. It is approximately 7 kilometers from the town Ettumanoor. Vayala is a beautiful village which has one hospital, a bank, a post office, a school, a Catholic church, and three Hindu temples. The name Vayala is derived from the Malayalam word vayal meaning "paddy field". The landscape of Vayala was predominantly fields. But people started filling fields for constructional purposes.
