Vile Parle (Marathi: विलेपार्ले / विले पार्ले, Gujarati: વિલે પાર્લે Vilēpārlē), also known as "Parla", is a suburb of Mumbai. Vile Parle is also the name of the railway station in this suburb, on the Mumbai suburban railway on the Western Railway (India) railway line. Vile Parle has a significantly strong base of Marathi and Gujarati population. The name "Vile Parle" has been derived from the names of two hamlets 'Idla' and 'Padla'. It serves as the location of the first Parle Biscuit factory.
