Kernick is a settlement in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is and area of the village of Penryn, a suburb of Falmouth. The name Kernick is a derivative of Kernow, the Cornish language name for Cornwall - actually the name is more likely to come from Cernic / Carnak meaning 'rocky' in Cornish, like Carnac in Brittany (Rev. Williams - Lexicon Cornu-Brittanicum, 1865).
