a substance being studied in the treatment of bacterial infections from catheters (flexible tubes used to deliver fluids into or take fluids from the body). it combines a drug used to treat infections with a drug that prevents blood clots. it is a type of tetracycline antibiotic. also called minocycline-edta.

カテーテル（液体を体内に注入したり体内の液体を排出したりするのに用いられる柔らかい管）からの細菌感染に対する治療の分野で研究されている物質。感染症治療に用いられる薬物と、凝血塊の形成を予防する薬物とを組み合わせたものである。テトラサイクリン系抗生物質の一種である。「minocycline-edta（ミノサイクリン-edta）」とも呼ばれる。
