The R1155 was a ubiquitous radio communications receiver used by the Royal Air Force in World War II. The R1155/T1154 combination was used in larger aircraft, particularly the Avro Lancaster and Short Sunderland, and also in some vehicles and air-sea rescue launches. Many were modified for private use postwar.
