名詞

slender moa (plural slender moas)

1. (now dated) A formerly posited species of giant moa, now considered to be synonymous with the North Island giant moa, Dinornis novaezealandiae.
   • 2000, Errol Fuller, Extinct Birds, Oxford, page 41:

A clue to the appearance of the slender moa may be provided by deep pits on the tops of some skulls, perhaps an indication that one of the sexes carried a crest.
