WQHT (97.1 FM, "Hot 97") is a high-profile radio station in New York City under the corporate ownership of Emmis Communications. The station broadcasts on 97.1 MHz FM. WQHT, despited billed as a Rhythmic CHR station on Mediabase & Nielsen BDS, primarily plays urban contemporary hits, although WQHT would not play any other urban adult contemporary song that had not been played by Urban Contemporary stations. The urban adult contemporary playlist, however, belongs to its WRKS (98.7 Kiss FM) sister station.
