Allington, Lincolnshireとは 意味・読み方・使い方

Allington is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, five miles north-west of Grantham. In 1066 the time of the Norman conquest the name of the village was Adelinctune. The 2001 census gave a population of 728 for the parish. Originally East and West Allington had their own churches but today only one church survives (Holy Trinity). The village pub is the Welby Arms on The Green. The Old Manor House built about 1660 is now a hotel. The Viking Way Sewstern Lane passed through the village until 1997, but was diverted to follow a roadbridge over the A1. The primary school is shared with Sedgebrook.
