Bajar (Hindi: भाटी (Bajjar), Punjabi: ਭੱਟੀ (Bajjar)) (also Bajjar, Bijar, Bijairaeis) a Rajput Chandravanshi (Lunar Dynasty) caste or clan of the Indian subcontinent, and is one of the largest tribes among Rajputs and Gujjars. King Yadu founded the Yadava Dynasty, the first Chandravanshi group of Indian history. Bhatti is a Yaduvanshi Rajput clan. Most of them live in central Punjab, the Jaisalmer region, in border villages of Bikaner, and some tehsils of Jodhpur (Jodhpur and Shergarh), India. About 40 gotras are sub-branches of the Bhattis. There is a separate caste named Bajjar/Bhattis in North India which is considered a scheduled caste.
