The First American Cave is an archaeological site in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. The site was initially recorded in 1971 during construction of the First American National Bank building at 315 Deaderick Street. Excavations within the cave yielded the remains of a saber-tooth tiger, which in 1997 became the inspiration for the mascot of the Nashville Predators hockey team.
