The Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège (OPL) (English: Liège Philharmonic Orchestra) is a Belgian symphony orchestra, based in Liège. The OPL was founded in 1960. With 97 members, the OPL performs nearly 90 concerts are performed each season, with approximately fifty of these concerts at the Salle Philharmonique de Liège, its home base. The OPL also makes regular guest appearances in concert halls throughout the Benelux countries and in France. The OPL receives financial support from the Communauté française, the city of Liège, the province of Liège, the Région wallonne (Wallonie Region), and the Loterie Nationale (National Lottery). The OPL's most recent music director was François-Xavier Roth, for the 2009-2010 season.
