MV Red Jet 5 is a passenger catamaran ferry operated by Red Funnel on their route from Southampton to Cowes on the Isle of Wight along with sister ships Red Jet 3 and Red Jet 4. She was built by Pequot River Shipworks in New London, Connecticut, USA. Red Jet 5 is the second vessel built by Red Funnel outside the UK. Red Jet 5 was built as early as 1999 but was introduced to Red Funnel's fleet in 2009. Before she was known as the Bo Hengy, and was run by Bahamas Ferries and retired in 2008. In the UK she was officially named by Shirley Robertson on the 21st of July 2009 and entered service about a week later.
