The Wheaton Bandit is the nickname of a bank robber who targeted banks in the Wheaton, IL area in suburban Chicago from 2002 to 2007. He has robbed 16 banks and has also been featured on an episode of American Greed on CNBC. Local law enforcement are now starting to think he has military training because of how he conducts the robberies. His trigger finger is usually along the side of the gun, not on the trigger, as a safety precaution. Authorities also think he wears a bulletproof vest from the outlines on his jackets.
