hemihomonym (plural hemihomonyms)

1. (taxonomy) A scientific name of an organism that is also used for a different taxon in a different kingdom subject to a different code of nomenclature.

   Chaetopsis in Fungi is a hemihomonym of Chaetopsis in Insecta.
