Brexit tackle (plural Brexit tackles)

(UK, soccer, slang) A particularly forceful or dangerous tackle, especially a sliding tackle made with little regard for winning the ball or consequences for either player.

語源

From Brexit + tackle, humorously comparing removing an opposing player from play with the United Kingdom 's withdrawal from the European Union. The expression is sometimes associated with the political slogan "Brexit means Brexit".
