引用: Poonoor is a small but developed village in Unnikulam Panchayath of Kozhikode District,in the state of Kerala, India. Situated on Thamarassery-Koyilandy state highway 4.5 KM west to Thamarassery town and 8.5 km east to Balussery town. Poonoor is in Koyilandy Taluk. Poonoor is a land of serene beautiful greeny paddy fields on the banks of the " Poonoor River", (Punoor puzha). The exuberant greenery of Poonoor slumbers along alleys of the village. This place is blessed with people of good culture and habits. The geographical area of poonoor is spread in to two Grama Panchayaths-Unnikulam and Thamarassery.
